Revolution appoints Rapscallion Motorsports as their Gold Certified Dealer for Texas

  • Date: September 29, 2025

Revolution Race Cars (Revolution) is delighted to announce the appointment of Rapscallion Motorsports (Rapscallion) as our newest Gold Certified Dealer in the United States. Based in Cresson, Texas, Rapscallion is a highly respected prototype race team that now joins Revolution’s growing network of elite partners.

Focused on serving the Texas motorsport community, Rapscallion is led by Douglas Vaughan and John Ulmer. Together, they deliver a structured pathway for aspiring prototype racers—progressing from the Rush to Revolution, and ultimately toward Ligier LMP4 and LMP3 competition.

Much like Revolution, an innovative track and race car brand created by racers, for racers, Rapscallion embodies a shared ethos of passion, precision, and performance. They are more than just a race team; they are a collective of driven individuals united by the pursuit of excellence, innovation, and progress on and off the track.

Rapscallion has a 30,000 square foot (2,787 square meter) facility located at Motorsports Ranch in Cresson, TX.  Where they have access to a 3.1 mile road course for testing, racing, and demonstrations.  Their second facility is located an hour away at Eagles Canyon Raceway, a 2.7 mile road course with rolling terrain and dramatic elevation changes.  With direct access to two high quality race tracks, Rapscallion offers customers a complete service package, from arrive-and-drive programs to trackside support, coaching, and car preparation. Their structured approach provides an exciting and proven ladder for aspiring prototype drivers to progress from Rush into Revolution machinery and beyond.

Nigel Redwood, Managing Director of Revolution, commented:

“We are delighted to appoint a new dealer for Texas and could not have found a better partner with more focus on prototype racing. Rapscallion has unparalleled experience in selling, supporting, and racing prototype race cars, and their passion and enthusiasm align perfectly with the values of the Revolution factory.”

John Ulmer, Head of Commercial Operations at Rapscallion Motorsports, added:

“The Revolution race car is engineered like no other. It offers our customers a two-seat, full-carbon car that makes no compromises on safety while delivering performance approaching LMP3 levels—yet in a package that is easier to manage and easier to extract performance from. Personally, I can’t wait to put the Revolution through its paces at Watkins Glen in September and experience its potential in true racing conditions.”

Douglas Vaughan, Founder and Team Principle of Rapscallion Motorsports, added:

“From the very start, the Revolution team have treated this collaboration as a genuine partnership, focused on what matters most to our customers and our team. It’s clear that Revolution is made up of racers at every level, and that makes working with them especially exciting.”
